DLR Poetry Now 2011
Ireland’s biggest and best-loved festival of poetry, dlr Poetry Now, reaches its sixteenth year in 2011. As always, the readings, discussions and events will have an excitingly international flavour, with poets set to visit from countries including the US, Canada, Spain and France, and the festival will also present the best of contemporary Irish poets. Renowned poetic voice Anne Carson will deliver the 2011 keynote address, and the festival will also celebrate an international poet long beloved in the Irish poetry scene and beyond.
A weekend of readings, workshops, talks and events, as well as The Irish Times and the Rupert and Eithne Strong Award presentations means there’s just as much as always to look forward to at dlr Poetry Now in 2011. The full programme will be announced in mid-February.
