The Irish Times Poetry Now Award is presented annually to the author of the best single volume of poems published by an Irish poet in the previous year. The shortlist of 5 titles will be announced in March 2010 and the winner will be announced at the DLR Poetry Now Festival which takes place from Thursday 25th to Sunday 28th of March 2010. Previous winners have included Harry Clifton, Seamus Heaney, Derek Mahon and Dorothy Molloy. The prize-winner will receive €5000. The award is made possible by the generous support of The Irish Times.

The Rupert and Eithne Strong Award recognises first collections published in English or Irish by Irish poets in 2009.
